Ecological Systems

The state of ecological systems, including their physical, chemical, and biological features, as well as the processes and interactions that connect them, is referred to as "ecological condition." Understanding the state of the environment is critical because humans rely on healthy ecosystems for food, fibre, lumber, flood control, and a variety of other advantages. Many Americans also place a high value on ecological systems and their diversity of plants and animals, citing both practical and intangible benefits. An "ecological system" (ecosystem) is a biological community made up of all the living species (including humans) in a given area as well as the non-living components with which they interact, such as air, water, and mineral soil. The borders of ecosystems aren't always evident.
