Nitrogen is an essential nutrient for living things. 78% of the atmosphere is Nitrogen. Nitrogen is important in photosynthesis. It is a main element in amino acid. Nitrogen in the atmosphere cannot be used directly by plants. Nitrogen Cycle converts atmospheric Nitrogen into more usable form for living things. It's a biogeochemical process. It contains several steps, Nitrogen fixation, Nitrification, Assimilation, Ammonification, Denitrification. Through these stages atmospheric Nitrogen is converted into many forms and reaches in the soil, from here to organism and back into the atmosphere again. Rhizobium and azotobacter play a major role in this. The presentation gives more details. Please read.
