Byju Pavithran is a writer who differs from conventional style and language, in his work of short stories. Colloquial language, quotes from cinemas, songs, twists in proverbs etc. make him a contemporary narrator rather than a writer. Most of his works are slices from life incidents topped up with homour and delicate touch of emotions . He has also made four short films, done articles on management of eco protection and is active in social work. He is a graduate in Economics, Law, and second rank holder in Cyber Law from Kerala University. He has also done his Journalism course from Press Club, Trivandrum, and bagged PG Diplomas in Management and Human Resource Development. He has served Indian Railways for 31 years as Station Manager and Chief Complaints Inspector and then opted for voluntary retirement to chase his passionate goals. At present, he is working as Manager in KT Edurite Global Education, Kerala Travels, Vellayambalam, Trivandrum. His mother , Sajini Pavithran, was a winner of President's Award for Children's literature in 1991. The popular Malayalam film, "Thinkalazhcha nalla Divasam", directed by Sri. Padmarajan was based her drama, broadcasted earlier by Akashvani.
