Oscar Awards

Bhanu Athaiyya was the first person to bring the Oscar Award to our country India. She won the award for the most popular costume designer. The Academy Awards or the Oscar is regarded as the highest and significant award in entertainment industry. An award is something which is given as a token of excellence in any field. The renowned South Indian musician AR Rahman won the Academy awards twice which is a golden crown over South Indian film and music industry. He has won two Grammy awards too. The Grammy Award is presented for the excellence in music industry. The famous Pulitzer Prize recognizes contributions in literary achievements. The Nobel Prize is awarded for the greatest contribution to mankind and is considered to be the most prestigious award in the world. The Academy awards or the Oscar was first awarded in May 16,1929. Apart from the Oscar, there are other nine awards presented by the Academy.
