World War

Presentations | English

A world war is a war engaged in by all or most of the principal nations of the world. The term is usually reserved for two major international conflicts that occurred during the first half of the 20th century: World War I (1914–1918) and World War II (1939–1945). The term World War I was used as early as 1939 during the outbreak of World War II (a term which, interestingly, was used hypothetically as early as 1919). The phrase aimed to capture the extensive geopolitical reach of the war, fought by world powers on several continents and affecting economies across the globe. One of the most significant impacts of World War One was huge advances in technology, which would transform the way that people all around the world travelled and communicated, in particular, in the years after the conflict. The significant ways WWII changed the world are well-known. They are the Holocaust’s decimation of Jewish culture, the use of atomic bombs on Japan. The wide swath of death and destruction caused the Axis powers in Europe are all commonly cited ways World War 2 changed history. The presentation gives in-depth understanding on the topic.
