Kasargod Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 20 Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituencies in Kerala state in southern India. It comprises 7 legislative assembly constituencies. Ernakulam Lok Sabha constituency is composed of the following assembly segments: Manjeshwar, Kasargod, udma, kanhangad, Trikaripur, Payyanur, Kalliasseri. According to Election Commission, there was a turnout of 11,00,099 registered voters in Ernakulam Constituency for the 2019 Lok Sabha Election. The constituency recorded a polling percentage of 80.66% of the total electorate. The winner of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections was Rajmohan Unnithan of the Indian National Congress who polled 4,74,961 votes which constituted 43.18% of the vote share( an upswing of +4.41% from the 2014 election) which put the winning margin at 40,438 votes over the CPI(M) candidate, K P Sathishchandran who came in second in what was a tightly contested election. As of 2021, Rajmohan Unnithan is the incumbent MLA from Kasargod.
