Kannur State assembly constituency is one of the 140 state legislative assembly constituencies in Kerala state in southern India. It is also one of the 7 state legislative assembly constituencies included in the Kannur Lok Sabha constituency. Kannur district falls into 3 parliament constituencies. As of the 2021 assembly elections, the current MLA is Kadannappalli Ramachandran of Cong(S). There were 1,73,961 registered voters in the constituency for the 2021 election. Kannur Lok Sabha constituency is composed of the following assembly segments: Taliparambu, Irikkur, Azhikkode, Kannur, Dharmadam, Mattanur, and Peravoor. In the 2021 Kerala Assembly elections, the total percentage of voters in the Kannur Assembly Constituency was recorded as 74.87 percent. Kannur comes under the Kannur district of Kerala State. Sheehan Pacheni (INC), Kadannappalli Ramachandran (CON(S)), Archana Vandichal (BJP) are key candidates contested from the Kannur constituency in the 2021 Kerala Assembly elections along with many other independent candidates.
