Vayambu kodukkan, is administering sweet flag (vayambu) which is a specific herb for babies. This is done usually by mixing this herb with honey. It is given to babies for their well being, as this herb have a large number of benefits. Incase if stomach bloating or babies not taking their feed, they might be suffering from indigestion. Some times a small pinch of vayambu is taken and mixed brest milk for baby consumption.
"കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങൾക്ക് നൽകുന്ന ഒരു പ്രത്യേക ഔഷധസസ്യമാണ് വയമ്പ്. സാധാരണയായി ഈ സസ്യം തേനുമായി കലർത്തിയാണ് നൽകുന്നത്. ഈ സസ്യത്തിന് ധാരാളം ഗുണങ്ങൾ ഉള്ളതിനാൽ ഇത് കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങൾക്ക് അവരുടെ ക്ഷേമത്തിനായി നൽകുന്നു. ആമാശയം വീർക്കുന്ന സാഹചര്യത്തിലോ ഭക്ഷണം നൽകാതിരിക്കുമ്പോഴോ കുട്ടികൾക്ക് ദഹനക്കേട് ഉണ്ടാകാം. ചില സമയങ്ങളിൽ, ഒരു ചെറിയ നുള്ള് വയമ്പു മുലപ്പാൽ കലർത്തി കുഞ്ഞിന് നൽകും"
