Vaccines are given to children from very young age. Several different vaccines are provided either in the form of an injection or as liquid intake. Vaccines, primarily, are used to immunise people against certain types of diseases that can cause severe illness, disability and possible death. Getting oneself immunised is a dire need. When a vaccine is administered to you, you get immunised. Though the terms are often used interchangeably, their meanings vary greatly.
