Unemployment refers to a scenario in which employable jobseekers are denied jobs due to lack of opportunities. The degree of unemployment in a country is usually measured by the unemployment rate, which is dividing the number of unemployed people by the total number of people in the workforce. Unemployment reflects upon the actual economic status of a country. There are generally four types of unemployment namely Demand Deficient Unemployment, Frictional Unemployment, Structural Unemployment and Voluntary Unemployment. The impact of unemployment can take a toll on both the workers and the national economy and can be resulted in a ripple effect. Workers are subjected to financial hardship that impacts families, relationships, and communities.
