UGC NET Exam will consist of two papers, i.e., Paper-1 & Paper-2. Based on the subject selected by the candidate, Paper-2 will consist of 100 Objective Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) of 2 marks each. All the candidates who have completed post-graduation in Home Science and are below the age of 31 can apply for the UGC NET Home Science Exam. The CSIR NET examination is conducted only for the Science stream students, the ICAR NET is held for the students belonging to the Agriculture Field. For all other subjects/streams, the candidates need to appear for UGC NET examination. UGC NET exam is conducted for 81 subjects. Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master's Degree OR equivalent examination from universities/ institutions recognized by UGC in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science, etc. are eligible for this exam.
