Diversity management is a process intended to create and maintain a positive work environment where the similarities and differences of individuals are valued. It is not just valuing the similarities and differences, but also utilizing it to achieve the organisational objectives. The wider variety of skills and abilities associated with workplace diversity directly contributes to productivity. Through diversity management all the employees can reach their potential and maximize their contributions to an organization's strategic goals and objectives. It also refers to organizational actions that aim to promote greater inclusion of employees from different backgrounds into an organizations structure. The different types of diversity management are intra- national diversity management and cross-national diversity management.
