The Vijayanagara Dynasty ruled most of the Telugu lands from 1336 to 1646. Although, for many centuries, their capital was at Hampi in present day Karnataka, their kingdom stretched in the East till the borders of Orissa. During their rule, they built as well as captured many forts. This two part presentation brings to you a list of various forts under their reign, in the Telugu regions. The forts’ history as well as a brief history of the various rulers of the Vijayanagara Empire is also presented in these two parts.
