We have been familiar with the various sectors, primary, secondary, and tertiary sectors, more specifically production manufacturing, and business, since high school. Every link in the business chain is critical. Every industry had its own type of influence on the business. The three industries can be thought of as the three pillars of business. Each sector is equally important. Retail, banks, hotels, real estate, education, health, social work, computer services, recreation, media, communications, electricity, gas, and water supply are all examples of service industries. The service sector and business are intrinsically tied, much like Newton's equal and opposite reaction. To learn more, view the presentation Service Sector and Business.
