The word 'Gutta' means caves. The Pandavula Guttalu are a series of caves situated close to the city of Warangal, in Telangana. These caves, formed out of sedimentary rocks, have prehistoric paintings in them, dating back to 30,000 years from now. Offering evidences of continuous occupation, one may also see ancient rock inscriptions in some caves. It is believed that the Pandavas and their mother, Kunti had spent a considerable time in these caves during their aranyavasam. Spots identified as Kunti's cave, wells dug up bythe Pandavas and so on can be spotted out here. Apart from these, there are also places associated with local deities.
