The second episode of this three-part series highlights the lores and legends surrounding the pilgrim centre of Bhadrachalam, also known as Dakshina Ayodhya (Ayodhya of the South). This is the very place where Rama and Lakshmana meet Sabari who advises them to seek Hanuma’s help to find Sita. Also in this presentation are the stories of how this hill came to be, how Gopanna came to be called Ramadasu and the role the Tanisha Nawab of Golconda had to play in this. You can also catch a glimpse of all the festivities and ceremonies that take place through the year at this famous pilgrim centre.
