The central part of India is known as the Deccan Plateau. It was formed millions of years ago by volcanic activity. Most of the state of Telangana is on this Deccan Plateau. The terrain on this plateau, the rivers and gorges, the various forests and natural resources have all shaped the history and culture of this land. This presentation brings to you the various geographic aspects of the Deccan Platuea such as its formation and its various parts like the Telangana Plateua, the Dharwad Plateau, the Gondwana Plateau, and so on, as well as specific aspects of the plateau in the Telangana State.
