Golconda Fort, located in the western part of the city of Hyderabad, is one of the most famous attractions of this region. Built in the 16th century, the fort is associated with the Kohinoor diamond. If one claps at the bottom of the fort, its echoes can be heard even at the top of the structure, where usually the king held his court. The fort walls have 87 towers and 8 gates.
