A smaller version of a laptop computer mostly in a slate shape. It contains a touch screen which can be also operated with the help of a stylus or digital pen. It’s a portable powerful computing tool similar to modern PC. It uses an extended version of a smartphone operating system. The tablets are intended to have a sense of using a magazine or book. Ideal for browsing and size of the text helps in reading easily. Internet connection is allowed. They are great media players; videos look more excellent in a large screen. Applications include research, construction, manufacturing, transportation, forestry, etc. Types of tablets include slate, convertible, booklet or rugged. Slate type is traditional comes in mini or regular sizes. Booklets have two screens mainly for the purpose of multitasking.
