Sorting is the process of placing a list of components from a collection in a certain order. It merely involves storing data in sorted order. Both ascending and descending order can be used while sorting. It sets up the data in a way that makes searching simpler. Data can be more rapidly and easily searched through by being sorted. A dictionary is the simplest sorting example. Internal and external sorting are two distinct types of sorting. Data representation in more comprehensible formats is another use for sorting.
