Extinction of soil can be caused by natural disasters, incorrect land use, or poor land management techniques. The main contributors to soil deterioration are believed to be animal overgrazing, improper farming techniques, and poor farmer management of arable land. Land topography and climatic elements including steep slopes, frequent floods, tornadoes, blowing off the high-velocity wind, showers of high intensity, and drought conditions in dry places are examples of natural hazards that can cause soil extinction.
