Software Review is systematic inspection of a software by one or more individuals in order to find and resolve errors and defects in the software. Software review is an essential part of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) that helps software engineers to validate the quality, functionality of the software. The process of software review consists of testing the software product to make sure that it meets the requirements stated by the client. Software review is usually performed manually to verify various documents like requirements, system designs, codes, test plans and test cases. Such a process is implemented in software development to improve the productivity of the development team and to make testing process cost effective. There are mainly 3 types of software reviews named Software Peer Review, Software Management Review and Software Audit Review. Peer review is performed in order to examine or resolve the defects in the software, by author of the code and other members of the team. Software Management Review evaluates the work status. Software Audit Review is a type of external review in which one or more critics, independently inspect the software product. Please check the below presentation for detailed description.
