The final school bell of the day is nothing short of music to every student’s ears; but at that moment, as our ears keep ringing happily to the rhythm of the school bell, it strikes hard – homework. As sad as that made each of us, it deserves a few moments to stop and think whether it was, in actuality, effective for building a student’s academic calibre or for gaining a deeper understanding of the subject. Was it useful or was it just overwork and more of an ineffective method of teaching? At the end of the day, the question remains – is homework a necessity?
