Riddle is probably one of the most universal art form that challenges, entertains and educates at the same time. Every language in the world has its version. Kannada riddles or ogaTugaLu are no exception. Riddles are an important part of folk/oral tradition. Riddles have assimilated language, common sense, tradition, history and moral essences of its time and have been passed on from generation to generation. A careful look will tell us that some of these riddles are universal across time and culture. Here are some examples. See if you can crack them.
ಒಗಟುಗಳು ಬಹುಷಃ ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಬಹು ಸಾರ್ವರ್ತ್ರಿಕವಾದ ಒಂದು ಕಲಾರೂಪ. ಒಗಟುಗಳು ನಮಗೆ ಸವಾಲೊಡ್ಡುತ್ತವೆ, ಮನರಂಜಿಸುತ್ತವೆ ಹಾಗು ಒಂದು ಕಲಿಕಾ ವಿಧಾನವೂ ಹೌದು. ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆಯ ಒಗಟುಗಳು ಈ ಪಾತ್ರವನ್ನೇ ವಹಿಸುತ್ತವೆ. ಒಗಟುಗಳು ಒಂದು ಜಾನಪದ ಕಲೆಯ ಒಂದು ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಭಾಗ. ಒಗಟುಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಮಯದ ಭಾಷೆ, ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯ, ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆ, ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ಹಾಗುಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳ ಸಮೀಕರಣೆ ಎನ್ನಬಹುದು. ಕೆಲವು ಒಗಟುಗಳು ಪ್ರಪಂಚದ ಇತರ ಜಾಗ, ಭಾಷೆ ಅಥವಾ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಗೂ ಕೂಡ ಅನ್ವಯಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವು ಉದಾರಣೆಗಳಿವೆ, ನಿಮಗೆ ಪರಿಹರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆಯೇ ನೋಡಿ.
