In physics, radiation is defined as an energy that emits through a source and propagates at the speed of light. It carries electric and magnetic fields of properties with it. Due to wave-like features, radiation is commonly called electromagnetic waves. Non-ionizing, ionizing, and neutrons are the three main types of electromagnetic waves. Radiation has been boon to humankind. It is mainly used in various sectors such as academics, medicine, generation of electricity, archaeology, industries, law enforcement, space exploration and geology, and so on.
