Let’s analyse whether Home-schooling is good or bad for Children? Home-schooling, also known as home education or elective home education, is the education of school-aged children at home or in a variety of places other than school. The modern home-school movement began in the 1970s when John Holt, an educational theorist and supporter of school reform, began arguing that formal schools' focus on rote learning created an oppressive classroom environment designed to make children compliant employees. Advantages of Home-schooling: Parents have control over what their children learn, Helps build good relationships with children, Flexibility over teaching timings, provides an opportunity to make learning exciting through your innovative learning ideas, and helps to provide the necessary attention. Disadvantages include Possibly fewer resources, Parents must teach a broad range of subjects, potentially less structure when compared to public school, be around their children all day long, restrain anger and remain patient when children struggle me should effectively handle the difficulties of moving at a slower pace.
