According to Mahatma Gandhi “There is no school equal to a decent home and no teacher equal to a virtuous parent.” Homeschooling is becoming more popular by the day, with an annual growth rate of 7 to 15%. At the moment, over two million youngsters are learning at home. Homeschooled students perform well on standardised tests, are accepted into colleges and institutions, and have a reputation on as self-directed learners and dependable employees as adults. The pros are educational freedom, physical freedom, emotional freedom, religious freedom, closer family relation, stability during difficult times, well-rested kids, no busywork, no bullying or emotional torture and home is a space for kids. The cons are Inability to manage everything, less chance for socializing, too much of togetherness, facing judgment and bias, missing out on a certain opportunity.
