A product is goods or services that an organization produces, which are intended to be sold to customers or other businesses. Product management is an organizational function that guides every step of a product’s life cycle from development, to positioning and pricing. It is a process that focuses on bringing a new product to market or developing an existing one. It starts with the idea of a product that the organization intends to bring to the market and ends with the evaluation of the product’s success. Product management unites business, product development, marketing, and sales. For example product management also include the branding and customer communication required to launch a new product. Product management helps in evaluating the changing needs of customers. Product management is typically divided into three parts and they are strategic product management, technical product management and Go-to-market or product marketing.
