A prepositional phrase is a group of words containing a preposition, a noun or pronoun object of the preposition, and any modifiers of the object. A preposition sits in front of (is “pre-positioned” before) its object. Some examples are- In action meaning, In the process of doing something In addition (to) meaning, Extra, something more In advance meaning, Ahead of time; earlier In agreement (with) meaning, Have the same opinion as someone else.
