What causes pollution? What is pollution doing to the Earth? How much longer can we live on Earth? Does pollution cause global warming? Air pollution is caused by solid and liquid particles and certain gases that are suspended in the air. These particles and gases can come from car and truck exhaust, factories, dust, pollen, mold spores, volcanoes and wildfires. The solid and liquid particles suspended in our air are called aerosols. Air pollution particles eventually fall back to Earth. Air pollution can directly contaminate the surface of bodies of water and soil. This can kill crops or reduce their yield. It can kill young trees and other plants. A high obliquity would probably result in dramatic changes in the climate and may destroy the planet's habitability. Why is pollution a problem? Air pollution is a major global environmental risk to our health and food security. So, shouldn’t we stop pollution at the earliest? Let’s take proper initiatives and make sure that we can solve pollution!
