Popularly known as PGRs, plant growth regulators are chemicals that are employed so as to promote plant growth and bring in modifications for the betterment of the plants and therefore are induced artificially. The chemicals once induced into the plants performs mechanisms that help in producing an increased return bloom, suppressing and or promoting shoot growth and altering several other factors of a plant. The regulators can be classified on the basis on different factors into groups of five. Various different types of plant regulators with different types of chemicals are thereby used for different purposes. The main concern regarding the usage of plant regulators is the aspect of consumption by people. They are chemicals which are used to promote growth and once they bloom and give fruits, the chemicals are easily passed on. This, however, is a huge disadvantage.
