Perl is a high-level interpreted and dynamic programming language that may be used for a variety of tasks. Larry Wall came up with the idea in 1987. Although there is no official full form of Perl, “Practical Extraction and Reporting Language” is the most commonly used extension. Perl is also known as the "Pathologically Eclectic Rubbish Lister" or "Practically Everything Really Likable" by certain programmers. Perl is a general-purpose programming language that was created for text manipulation but is now used for a variety of activities such as system administration, web development, network programming, GUI creation, and more. Perl is a high-level interpreted and dynamic programming language with a wide range of applications. Both procedural and Object-Oriented programming are supported in Perl. Perl is syntactically very close to C and is quite simple for users who are familiar with C and C++. Perl is easy to develop and understand since its syntax is quite similar to those of other commonly used languages. Perl programmes may be created with a variety of text editors, including Notepad++, gedit, and others.
