Humans are, without a doubt, the most complex organisms on the planet. Consider billions of microscopic parts, each with its own identity, cooperating in an orderly fashion for the benefit of the entire being. Although the human body is a single structure, it is composed of billions of smaller structures of four major types: Cells, tissues, organs, and the system as a whole. Ten major systems include the skeletal, muscular, nervous, endocrine, cardiovascular, lymphatic, respiratory, digestive, urinary, and the reproductive system.
