On July 1, India commemorates Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, an eminent physician, academician, freedom fighter, and politician, by commemorating National Doctor's Day. After India's independence, Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy became the first Chief Minister of West Bengal. In 1961, Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy received the Bharat Ratna award. This year's National Doctor's Day is especially significant because doctors are fighting the Covid pandemic at all hours of the day and night. In the midst of the pandemic, it is vital that we wish each other a Happy Doctors Day to remember their sacrifices.
