Have you heard what Thomas Aquinas, an Italian philosopher said about Charity? He said, “Charity brings to life again those who are spiritually dead.” So charity is literally an act of extending love and compassion while ensuring unconditionality. Charity has to be indulged in without expecting anything in return. The concept of charity is idealized with the introspective realization of an urge to be compassionate to others. When deconstructing the term charity, it is very likely to realize that fundraising and charity are a farcry from each other, even though both are used interchangeably. The word charity is etymologically connected with Christianity. Even though the basic philosophy of charity can be traced back to several religious philosophies, it could be identified with altruism.
