"The Microbial Limit Test, popularly known as the MLT test is the process carried out to determine whether a certain product complies with the regulatory specifications for the said standard of microbial quality. The entire procedure consists of two major phases – the quantitative phase and the qualitative phase. The procedure works on the principle that the specific organism is immunized and set into a medium that already contains all the required growth factors. Scientifically therefore, ‘the rate of growth is then proportional to the amount of this nutrient added in the test substance’. There are several different pharmaceutical microbial limit test services available today. Microbial enumeration and MLT Method Suitability Test are two examples. Have fun!"
