"The Book of Micah is a book of the Hebrew Bible and a collection of works that Christians call the Old Testament. It occurs in most biblical texts as the sixth book in the ""Little Prophets"" section of the 12 small prophetic books. In its first verse, the author explains that Micah was born in Morasette, southwest of Jerusalem and that he prophesied during the supremacies of Judea, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah. So this prophet may have been a contemporary of the most popular prophet Isaiah in the Jewish myth. He sided with the tax-paying peasants and severely denounced the rulers of Jerusalem, the mercenary preachers, and the prophets who prophesied for money. The third chapter ends by proclaiming that Jerusalem will be ploughed into the field for their iniquities and that the church will become a desert."
