Can you imagine our country being ruled by wrong leaders? Won’t it affect the citizens as a whole? Shouldn’t we exercise our right to vote? Will the voice of the majority rule out the voice of the minority? This is a very important problem with respect to democracy. As a citizen our most important privilege is the democratic right. But it has its own pros and cons. Democracy cannot succeed unless those who express their choice are prepared to choose wisely. “Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard”, as quoted by H. L. Mencken . Globally, people are more dissatisfied than satisfied with the way democracy is working. So, the root and cause problem has to be identified and proper measures have to be taken.
