"The media has huge impact on the overall behaviour of children. In the current times, the influence of media violence on children is a growing concern. Media has both positive and negative effects on children. The media has a disturbing potential to negatively affect many aspects of children's healthy development, including weight status, sexual initiation, aggressive feelings and beliefs, consumerism and social isolation. The cognitive impact of these media depends on the age of the child, the kind of programming, the social context of viewing, as well the particular kind of interactive media (eg, computer games). It is proven that the exposure to media violence has a wide variety of physical and mental health problems on children. One of the most prominent problems that we face is aggressive and violent behaviour of the child. The other problems include depression, nightmares, sleep disturbances, desensitization to violence, bullying and so on. The presentation gives further insight on the topic."
