In 1960, there were only 13 districts in the state of Madras Province. In 2021, there are currently 38 districts in Tamil Nadu. The Madras Province was officially renamed as Tamil Nadu in 1969. Interesting information about this evolution of districts of Tamil Nadu can now be found here.
1960-இல் சென்னை மாகாணத்தில் 13 மாவட்டங்கள் மட்டுமே இருந்தன. தற்போது 2021-இல் தமிழ்நாட்டில் 38 மாவட்டங்கள் உள்ளன. சென்னை மாநிலமானது, 1969-ஆம் ஆண்டில் அதிகாரப்பூர்வமாக, தமிழ்நாடு என மறுபெயரிடப்பட்டது. மாவட்டங்களின் இந்த பரிணாமத்தைப் பற்றிய சிறப்புத் தகவல்களை இப்போது அறியலாம்.
