Almost every village in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have their own deities known as 'Grama Devatha'. The grama devatha or the village goddess is special to each village and the people have their own annual rituals and festivals for these goddesses. Some of them are so popular that people from not just the nearby villages but from across the state flock here to be a part of the celebrations. Know about some of the grama devathalu, their origins and the beliefs surrounding them in this presentation.
ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ మరియు తెలంగాణాలోని దాదాపు ప్రతి గ్రామం వారికి స్వంత దేవతల, అనగా 'గ్రామ దేవత' ఉంటుంది. గ్రామ దేవత ప్రతి గ్రామానికి ప్రత్యేకమైనది. ఉత్సవాలు, వీటిలో కొన్ని ఆ ఊరివారికే పరిమితం కాదు. ఎంత ప్రాచుర్యం పొందాయి అంటే సమీప గ్రామాల నుండి మాత్రమే కాకుండా రాష్ట్ర వ్యాప్తంగా ప్రజలు వేడుకల్లో పాల్గొనడానికి వస్తారు. ఈ ప్రదర్శనలో కొన్ని గ్రామ దేవతలు, వారి మూలాలు, వారికి సంబంధించిన నమ్మకాల గురించి తెలియజేయడం జరిగింది.
