Tallapaka Annamayya or Annamacharya as he is also known, is perhaps one of the finest lyrisists and composers of all Indian music. He was born in a small village called Tallapaka in Kadapa District of Andhra Pradesh. Know about his life story, his influences, the places he travelled, the songs he composed, the time he was imprisoned by the local king, and so much more in this little tribute to the person we call 'Padakavitha Pithamahudu.' This presentation also covers some of his most famous compositions which are even today, after nearly 500 years later, a part of most Telugu households, rituals and culture.
