Law and politics are always a topic of discussion. It can initiate conversations between strangers or can be the ice-breaker. They are deeply intertwined. Law is an essential tool of government action, an instrument with which government tries to influence society. It is also the means by which government itself is structured, regulated and controlled. Politics is the set of activities that are associated with making decisions in groups, or other forms of power relations between individuals, such as the distribution of resources or status. A variety of methods are deployed in politics, which include promoting one's own political views among people, negotiation with other political subjects, making laws, exercising force and/or initiating warfare against adversaries.
