The author of this gospel book is Jesus's favourite disciple, John, one of the sons of Zebedee. Unlike the previous three gospels, this book displays the deity of Jesus Christ. The author sought to strengthen the faith of second- generation believers and to tear down all false-teachings that were being spread around the churches in those times. Interestingly, John only mentions seven miracles and some of them are only found in this book. John gives the readers theological explanations and also proves the existence of the Son of God since the 'beginning'. Key verse from the book of John: (11:25–26) Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?
