Once the word ‘Multimedia’ was quite revolutionary and much looked after during the late 90’s. But, with the technological advancement it is common these days. Multimedia is a broad term for combining multiple media formats. It is an interactive medium of communication. It is the use of a computer to present and combine text, graphic, audio and video links and tools that let the user to navigate, interact and communicate. It provides multiple ways to represent information to the user in a potent way. It provides an interaction between users and digital information. In other words, multimedia means the computer information can be represented through audio, video, and animation in addition to traditional media (i.e., text, graphics drawings, images). The five elements of multimedia are text, image, audio, video and animation. The basic types of multimedia can be described as text, graphics, audio, animation, graphic objects.
