International finance, also known as international macroeconomics, is the study of two or more countries' monetary interactions, with a focus on foreign direct investment and currency exchange rates. International finance, as opposed to focusing on individual markets, is concerned with the economic relationships that exist between various countries. International finance research is conducted by large institutions such as the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER). In addition, the Federal Reserve Bank of the United States has a section dedicated to researching policies affecting US capital flows, foreign trade, and global market growth. International financial management aims to boost an organization's earnings by making wise investment decisions. It encourages both safe and profitable investments.
