A dictionary is a collection of words and their definition. Dictionary originally came from the Latin word dictionarius, meaning "a manual or book of words." A dictionary is most commonly used to look up the definitions of particular words. It also puts light to other information like etymology, usage guidelines etc. A language keeps on evolving and add in new usages and words. Therefore new words are constantly evaluated and added to the dictionaries at periodic intervals. It reveals our boundless creativity and ingenuity. Our indefatigable lexicographers are working relentlessly towards this. Changes can be challenging, especially language changes. But it can be fun learning them too. Annually hundreds of new words are added to the dictionary. The language updates are actually mirror to the changing world around us.
