Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton (68) is an American politician who served as the First Lady of the United States during Bill Clinton's presidency from 1993 to 2001, and as the 67th Secretary of State of the United States from 2009 to 2013. She was also a candidate for the Democratic Presidential nomination in the 2016 election, which she lost to Republican candidate Donald Trump. In 1974, Hillary worked as a young attorney for John Doar, the Special Counsel to the Judiciary Committee of the United States House of Representatives, who was in charge of the investigation into impeaching Richard Nixon during the Watergate Scandal. Hillary Rodham Clinton, the 44th First Lady, was the first woman to concurrently serve as the First Lady of Arkansas. Her husband, Bill Clinton, is also the only president of the United States to be from Arkansas. Hillary Clinton stated in her 2003 memoir, Living History, that as a 14-year-old, she submitted a letter to NASA.
