The legendary former footballer Diego Maradona was born on the 30th of October, 1960 to an underprivileged family and was brought up in the outskirts of Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was the fifth eldest in his family of nine, including his parents. The first ever football he got to hold was a gift. It was only a matter of time before Maradona started showing ardent interest in the sport. At only 8 years of age, he was noticed by a talent scout while Maradona was out playing. This jumpstarted his future career. Eventually, he started playing for Argentinos Juniors and showcased his immense calibre in football, leaving the audience amazed. He has played 4 FIFA World Cups and under his captaincy led the Argentina team to a magnificent victory in 1986. Diego Maradona still lives in the minds of the people and will forever remain an icon in the true sense.
