Byju Raveendran is a well-known Indian entrepreneur who is the founder of ‘Byju’s - The learning App’, a revolutionary platform for students. It is the only platform in Asia which is funded by Mark Zuckerberg and his wife’s foundation – ‘Chan Zuckerberg initiative’. After graduating, Byju worked as a ‘Service engineer’ at a multi- national shipping firm. It is interesting that Byju’s journey of becoming a professional teacher and the founder of Byju’s app started from the terrace of his friend. As Byju was good in Maths, he initially helped his friends in solving mathematics problems and as he enjoys teaching, he gradually started guiding more students. He gave up his job and started teaching full time. As the number of students increased his classes expanded from terrace to classrooms, to auditorium and eventually to stadiums.
